Ecosystem restoration

Definition of Ecosystem restoration:
Ecosystem restoration proceeds through habitat restoration and natural recolonization, assisted where necessary by reintroduction of lost native species. 'Lost native species' refers to native species that are unable to recolonize the restored habitat by themselves.
This is the common definition for Ecosystem restoration, other definitions can be discussed in the article

Notes

An ecosystem has recovered when it contains sufficient biotic and abiotic resources to continue its development without further assistance or subsidy. It would sustain itself structurally and functionally, demonstrate resilience to normal ranges of environmental stress and disturbance, and interact with contiguous ecosystems through biotic and abiotic flows.
