Le Conquet
Le Conquet
- Administrative Port: Finistère
- County: Bretagne
The port is served by Conquet Penn-ar-Bed Company which provides connections with Ouessant and Molène throughout the year, and during the season from April to September, by the company Finist'mer that provides fast and direct connections between the ports of Conquet Lanildut, and the islands of Ouessant and Mullein.[1]
“As an important crab fishery port, Le Conquet also became an ideal place for catching uncommon species. The fishing port is managed since 2007 by chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Brest. In recent years, alongside traditional crab fishing ships, the fleet has diversified its activities with other ships, which use fishing nets bringing back monkfish, skate, brill, turbo, lobster and the fresh daily catches. However, the crab still remains the symbol of the harbour.”[2]
