Hayle is a small town and cargo port in west Cornwall, England. It is situated at the mouth of the Hayle River, and has the Celtic Sea to the north of it. Due to a rich industrial heritage, Hayle is recognised by being part of the UNESCO Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. Its principal economy is tourism, with Hayle being popular for watersports and its river being nationally renowned for bird watching due to the migratory birds that live there.[1]
