Morlaix is located in the north of the department of Finistère, at the confluence of two rivers, the Jarlot and the Queffleuth (alternate spelling: Queffleut), which form the Dossen or river of Morlaix. The estuary of the river of Morlaix, in fact an estuary or aber separating Leon (west) and Treg (east), extends over 15 km between the lock and the mouthpiece Bay of Morlaix up Crantock.1
