Utah Beach

Utah Beach is the name of one of the five landing beaches of Normandy on 6 June 1944. As being the beach further west of the areas where the Allied landed and the only one located on the northeast coast of the Cotentin peninsula, west of the estuary of the Vire (the other four are located on the coast of Calvados), Utah Beach stretches from Sainte-Marie-du-Mont Quinéville until about 5 km long, with the main area of assault near Varreville.http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Beach
